D, E, F - Each group presented information about their type of chemical reaction and  we applied the information to a "Cartoon Chemistry" worksheet where you trided to identify each chemical reaction based on the pictures given.  HW: Finish your "Cartoon Chemistry" worksheet

C - Today we took a test on Chapter 6 - Chemical Bonds.  HW: Brainstorm what you know about chemical reactions/chemical changes

D, E, F - Today we conducted a lab on the Theory of Conservation of Mass.  HW: Finish the lab questions and read p. 192-194 in your books and write a paragraph summary of what you read.

C - Today we reviwed for a Chapter 6 Test.  HW: Study for your Test tomorrow.

D, E, F - We learned about chemical reactions and the theory of conservation of mass.  HW: Write a one paragraph summary of your notes (at the bottom of the notes that you took today) - this will be checked for credit and shared tomorrow before we conduct a lab on the conservation of mass.

Happy Half Day!

C - Today we finished reviewing your answers to  "Name that Bond."  We started defining vocabulary for Chapter 6.  HW: Finish defining vocabulary on your "Word Wall" worksheet

D, F - We reviewed questions on your "Bare Essentials of Polarity" Worksheet before you passed it in for a grade &  sarted defining chapter 6 vocabulary.  HW: Finish defining vocabulary on your "Word Wall" worksheet  and complete your "Bare Essentials of Polarity" Worksheet if you did not pass it in today.

E - We worked on defining chapter 6 vocabulary.  HW: Finish defining vocabulary on your "Word Wall" worksheet and complete the following:

Write a paragraph that compares ionic and covalent bonds using as many vocabulary words as you can.

C - Today we analyzed the data from our labs and finished the conclusion questions.  NO HW

D, E, F - Today we learned about polar covalent bonds and started reading a comic strip about them.  HW: You have 3 sheets due tomorrow in substitution for a HW Tic Tac Toe.  Make sure all are ready to hand in tomorrow.

C - Today we conducted a lab, comparing the properties of ionic compounds to covalent compounds.  NO HW


D, E, F - Today we analyzed the results from our lab and watched a short video comparing ionic and covalent compounds.  We used "Name that Bond" as a self assessment of whether we could identify ionic or covalent bonds just by their formulas. 

HW: The following worksheets are due next Tuesday (2/7).  Work on them over the weekend so that you can ask me questions Monday if you are having difficulty.
